No one is coming to save us—We have to save ourselves.
At BBBVoices, our mission is to educate our members on the responsible and effective use of firearms. We provide guidance on what truly matters when handling a pistol or an assault rifle.
Statistics show that more than one in three white U.S. citizens owns a gun. Some fear that increasing gun ownership within the Black community could heighten social tensions and lead to more shootings. That is an ideology we reject.
We believe there are situations where Black people need to be armed to defend ourselves. BBBVoices especially welcomes active and retired African American members of law enforcement and the military. We look to them to help us build a sense of fellowship by:
- Educating us on the legacy of gun ownership in our communities
- Providing training that promotes safe and responsible firearm use for self-defense
- Advocating for the inalienable right to self-defense for African Americans
Here’s what we promise our BBBVoices members:
- When we reach 10,000 members, we will cover the cost of a gun safety class or self-defense training of your choice.
- When we reach 40,000 members, BBBVoices will assist eligible individuals in purchasing their first firearm.
